Job Description:
Responsibilities: The Education Department at WSC invites applicants for a tenure track faculty position in Curriculum and Instruction at the Middle/Secondary levels starting spring semester 2010. The successful candidate must be dedicated to undergraduate teaching. The position include teaching foundations, curriculum, methods courses to teacher educators; mentoring students; serving on college committees, the possibility of teaching graduate courses, and engaging in professional activities. The successful candidate will also participate in the development of new and innovative teacher education programs.
Requirements:
Qualifications: The candidate for the assistant or associate professor faculty position must have an earned doctorate degree ( Ph.D. or Ed.D.), and must demonstrate a strong background in curricular planning/design and assessment at the Middle/Secondary level, as well as the use of innovative educational technology to enhance student learning. Familiarity with teacher education accreditation standards and prior experience with supervising field experiences and student teaching are preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of teaching experience at the Middle/Secondary levels.

SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience.
